Solutions & Know-how

Your partner for planning, realization and optimization of plants and building projects.

Clear structures. Intelligent solutions.

You don’t have changing contacts at IKB, but an experienced project manager, who smoothly coordinates all phases of the project. If separate systems or a complete new factory, if buildings or system techniques, IKB develops solutions which perfectly integrate into your existing structures.

We get active in the following fields: production logistics, production and packaging, stock, shipment and automotive production, waste management and environment protection, safe quality.

OUR TASKS: Production lines, packing plants, warehouses for deep frozen food, automatic storing systems, palletizing centres, sieving plants, plants under explosive atmosphere, automotive construction, optimizing of production processes, bulk material conveying plants incl. automation, quality management, strategies for material flow, reconstruction, environmental technique.

Valuable know-how-transfer. No undesired standstills.

The complex IKB experiences in different sectors pay off for you. For example our customers in the food sector profit from our experiences in the chemical sector and vice versa.

IKB offers consulting and planning, rationalisation and realisation: optimised material flow and efficient production. Useful personal planning and intelligent logistics—these are only some of the subjects we are dealing with each day. Our international experience contains also exceptional areas as the HACCP-concept.

The conversions run on full speed as your production does. Our full service takes care of the demanding organisation and coordination between conversion works and running production.

Our professional experience: food, chemical, energy, automotive, building materials, animal feed.

IKB methods

  • Project planning

In the project planning stage first contacts to potential suppliers are included. Furthermore the project is presented to all affected authorities and civil services and expected obligations are already considered in the first stage of the project.

By means of the plant dimensions and the optimal flow of materials, the arrangement is planned—considering the peripheral plants. In this phase a budget for the building and the equipment is elaborated, divided by crafts. In the course of the planning also the building dimensions are determined and registered graphically. During the design of the building important aspects are:

    • assembly / assembly apertures / elevator size and position
    • accessibility / staircases / walks / drives
    • flow of materials / order of the building levels / level and upright penetrations / weight of the machines and plant parts
    • electro and operations technique / control rooms / cable ducts
    • safety / safety at the place of work
    • building construction / structure / insulation / façade

  • Presentation

For the presentation the figures are compacted and processed for the corresponding presentation medium.

The drawings of the building levels and the section drawings, as well as flow sheets are converted into a form, suitable for presentations. The presentation occurs in general, together with the manager of the customer and the decision maker of the enterprise. The presentation must be conclusive and the advantages clearly demonstrated. If desired, IKB will prevent illustrative 3D-views, which help to explain the project on all levels of your company.

After approval of the project the documents are prepared for the approving authorities and the actual detailed design planning can start.

  • Tender

The tender documents are developed on the basis of the project planning.

Important in the specification is the precise description of the building, considering possible standards of the supplier. In the specification we keep an eye on the possibility for the supplier, to insert own ideas. We keep the specification open for other approaches to achieve the targets of the tender. Developing the specifications we already describe interfaces to other crafts.

The supplier is thus in a position to get a detailed idea about the trades with which he will come in touch during the realization. For complex trades the relevant suppliers are invited to technical conversations in order to guarantee that the specification and its entire extent are understood. The offers are evaluated, quantitative factors are compared, qualitative advantages and disadvantages are identified and documented.

After an ultimate technical conversation the supplier presents his final offer. On this base is decided which suppliers are invited to the final negotiations.
